On this page you will find some information about what we do in Reception.
We never stop in Reception!
Our week is always jam packed with fun and exciting lessons and activities. We have literacy, maths, phonics, topic, PE and RE… and lots of time to play and learn!
We follow the statutory Early Learning Goals (ELGs) and use the Development Matters statements. You can find these below:

We teach Twinkl phonics. In Reception, we work on Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 Phonics.

Homework and reading books will be sent out each Friday.
Please return reading books on Wednesday to ensure that we can change them for the following Friday.

We have PE every Monday with Manchester City Coach Jess, and every Thursday in class.
On these days, please bring your child to school in their PE kit.
Our school PE kit consists of:
Plain black shorts/jogging bottoms
Plain white t-shirt
Pumps/plain trainers
