Our Stanley Chow artwork from this half term 🎨

Art club is up and running and our first focus was cubist portraits, inspired by Picasso. Great work team!

Our artist this half term is Carolyn Mims Lawrence, an American artist who advocates the opportunities for black children to succeed in art through her mural contributions. She uses colour in her murals to convey mood and feelings. We have found out all about her dreams and goals, her campaigns and had a go at making our own hot/cold colour strips by mixing primary colours to discover new shades.

Our final pieces are now up and displayed. We have thoroughly enjoyed our unit and built up our portrait drawing, colour mixing and water painting skills.
