Year 1 Homework

Hello parents and children. On this page you will find the weekly homework tasks set fro children in Year 1. Due to the current pandemic, all homework will be posted online and it is not necessary to return these to school. Homework task will include sheets to be printed at home and online games to develop your child’s learning. Weekly spellings will also be set on the website but copies of these will be sent home, these do not need to be returned to school. Homework/spellings will be given out each Thursday and are to be completed by the following week.

Click the link above to play this fantastic game. We play Hit the button in class and it is a great game getting children to practice their number bonds within a time limit. Please practice number bonds to ten with your child.

 

Literacy

Zara needs to choose the sentences which make sense can you help her? In this game, your child is asked to read sentences and pick the one which is grammatically correct.

Your child may also want to practice their pencil control skills. If you have access to lined paper at home, your child can practice write their name and short sentences. Remember to use you best handwriting, capital letters and full stops. Images of your child’s work can be sent to the Year 1 email address.
