Group 1, 2 and 3 – Can you draw a self-portrait using a pen/pencil and paper using some of the techniques used in the video? Remember to colour it in and make it look as much look you as you can.

L.O: Discussing properties of every day materials

Activity

Group 3  – Choose a variety of objects made from different materials such as wood, metal, plastic, etc…

Imagine you have met an alien who has never seen these before and you must describe them and their properties. Examples might be “Glass is smooth and hard.” Or “Water can be cold or hot.”.

 

Group 1 and 2 – Go on a material hunt around your home. Can you find things made from 4 different materials? Draw a picture of these and label them with what material they are made from.

*Extra challenge* – Can you write a sentence explaining why an object might be made from a certain material based on it’s suitability. An example might be. “The window is made from glass because it is transparent and hard.”

L.O: Learning about key events and figures in UK history (Tudors)

Group 3 – – Using the videos can you do a short piece of writing giving facts about a Tudor king/queen of your choice. Try to include facts about what they did, when they lived, other people in their lives.
