Some parents have had difficulty accessing the updated, weekly planning for Reception. I add work each Monday to the website on a new page dated for that week (eg. this week’s page will be on the Reception home learning page as ‘Reception Home Learning: 4/5/20). If you have any problems with this, please contact me at reception@st-annes-pri.manchester.sch.uk and I will help in any way I can. We have also been given access to a new website called Education City. If you would like login details for you child, please send me an email to the same address and I will forward them to you.

Missing you all!

Mrs M x

Hi Gang!

Just a quick note to say hello. I am missing you all so much, and it’s only day one of our break! I’m missing your smiles at the door in the mornings, your cuddles at home time at night and every moment in between…
It must be strange, being at home and still doing your work. Phonics isn’t the same without you reminding me about digraphs and trigraphs, and I am missing you helping me when I get muddled up or lose things (which we all know is a lot of the time!)
I have been saying my prayers everyday, and I pray for all of you and your families. I hope you’ve remembered me in your prayers, too. I have been praying that we will be back at school soon and you can tell me everything that you have been doing.
There are lots of things to keep you busy on the website, and I will keep adding to our class page. I would love you to send some emails and photos to our class email address: reception@st-annes-pri.manchester.sch.uk
Let me know what you have been getting up to and what amazing learning you have been doing at home.
Don’t have too much fun without me!
Love to you all,
Mrs Mirza. X

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to our home learning page! I will be using this page to share resources and ideas which the children can access when learning from home. Feel free to explore these links and resources with your child/children. I will keep our home learning pages updated and add new learning challenges and links regularly.

We have created a grid which includes all of the Early Learning Goals for the 17 areas of learning, along with some ideas for activities to try at home. There is a column left blank for you to complete with comments when you have tried an activity. You can download this and type up your comments straight onto the document.

You can send me photos and comments of any activities that you try, and I will save these to your child’s learning journey.

Grown ups! Please remember that I am only an email away. Our class email address is reception@st-annes-pri.manchester.sch.uk. I will be checking the emails regularly and am happy to clarify anything or help in any way that I can.

Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Mirza.

Mothers’ Day

We are aware that some children have missed out on making cards and gifts for Mothers’ Day this year. This will not do! Our cards this year have been made by painting hands green and finger painting flowers. Easy peasy and very effective! We finished them with a flower pot, which I have popped below.

We also made some special boxes. We decorated them with sequins and drew pictures on them, filled them with all of our love and tied them with a ribbon. Then we put on a special tag with a poem on, which you can find below.

If you would like to create one at home, please feel free to use these resources. Send us a photograph of your creations!
