We cannot thank you enough for the AMAZING response to our Harvest appeal. We were hoping and praying for a few tins or maybe some pasta… What we got was more than we could have imagined. Reception you are amazing! Every item that you donated has gone straight to the people who need it the most. Your generosity astounded us. Thank you for supporting the appeal and thinking of those less fortunate. We are so proud of your efforts.

This week we have had a special visitor in our class. A lady came in to see us and talk about how we can take care of our teeth. We learnt lots!

We thought about how important it is to brush our teeth twice a day; in the morning and at night. We also found out about what happens when we visit the dentist. Some of us even dressed up as a dentist and looked at our friends’ teeth… They were very healthy!

Our visitor was very impressed.

If you would like any information about dental hygiene, your nearest dental practice or anything else please call in and see us and we can put you in touch with the relevant people.

Don’t forget to brush!

We had an amazing day celebrating World Music Day!

An African drumming session at 9am; is there a better way to start the day?! We thought about how important music is to us and how it can make us feel. We listened to different kinds of music and drew how they made us feel and what the made us think about. We made our own instruments using things like lollipop sticks and paper plates. They were amazing, and proof that you really can make something out of nothing! After a class vote, we decided on a song to perform in the hall at our celebration assembly. We sang as loudly as we could and played our instruments, remembering to keep the beat.

What a fantastic way to end our week!

Nursery and Reception had  fantastic afternoon celebrating Father’s Day! We had handprint painting, medal making and even a ‘design a funny hat’ table. There was a quiet reading corner, a photobooth and a space to make a paper aeroplane; that was a busy station!

Thank you to all of the grown ups who came along. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Early Years had an amazing morning for our Mother’s Day stay and play session! There was bracelet making, hand massages and nail painting, and even a photo booth! Some of our grown ups were treated to a story in the book area, and painting our handprints proved to be a big hit. Some children even created versions of their grown ups on paper plates. The resemblances were astounding!

All of the grown ups were then treated to a song by their amazing children, with a little bit of a helping hand from our fantastic school choir… There were definitely a few tears!

Thank you to all of the grown ups who came.

We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
